The Leading Spring Event for Modern and Contemporary Art

Art Paris is the first contemporary art fair to be organised in the Grand Palais Éphémère, which has an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. The Grand Palais Éphémère is a temporary building of 10,000 m2, supported by the Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais and Paris 2024, and will be installed on the Champ-de-Mars until the end of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It was designed by the Wilmotte & Associés agency and produced by GL events.

This event will bring together 140 modern and contemporary art galleries from some twenty countries, mainly from Europe. In 2022, the exhibition will gather 130 exhibitors from 20 countries, more than 900 artists represented, 37% of foreign participation, 63% of French galleries, and 30% of new presences. In 2021, it had 72,746 visitors.

The Art Paris 2022 edition will be focused on the theme of the environment. In fact, the fair wants to make contemporary art accessible to a wider public. Some eighty „deciphering“ visits are organized with the Observatory of Contemporary Art. Specific tools are made available to the public, in particular the website with the virtual visit of the fair, and its search filters by artist, price range, geographical origin, technique, etc.

From 2022, Art Paris will offer a new approach to art focusing on the relationships of the living world with two complementary themes: Art & Environment and Natural History, associated with an eco-design approach of the fair, a first in the world of art fairs. The Art Paris fair offers solo shows, which are personal exhibitions diffused throughout the fair that allow the public to discover the work of modern, contemporary or emerging artists such as Alia Ali or Tony Toscani. These monographic exhibitions are supported by the Wall Street journal. The 2022 edition has 30% new participants. French brands are making their first entry, including gb agency, Christophe Gaillard, Catherine Issert, Pietro Sparta, while on the international side, the galleries Fernando Pradilla (Madrid), Rodolphe Janssen (Brussels), Xippas (Brussels, Geneva, Montevideo, Paris, Punta del Este) are participating for the first time. The contemporary African scene is still very much alive and well, and the exhibition will be held at the fair.

The contemporary African scene is represented by the 1957 Gallery (Ghana), Loft Art Gallery (Morocco), Véronique Rieffel (Ivory Coast) and the Parisian galleries 31 Project, Magnin-A, Templon etc.

The event has a powerful media coverage in France and internationally. From Germany, Global Art Magazine is one of the press partners of the fair. In total, there were more than 115 French and foreign press advertisements, 105 media partners, 135 web advertising banners, 568 TV and radio spots, thousands of posters in the heart of Paris, 707 accredited journalists, with 635 French journalists and nearly a hundred international journalists, nearly 150 press articles were written in 10 countries.
