PASHMIN ART CONSORTIA AND ARCHIVE ART MUSEUM HONOR 50 YEARS

PASHMIN ART CONSORTIA AND ARCHIVE ART MUSEUM HONOR 50 YEARS OF SINO-EUROPEAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE BY EXHIBITING MORE THAN 400 ARTWORKS BY 50 ARTISTS

Cultural exchange and cooperation are important parts of the comprehensive Sino-European strategic partnership. They play an irreplaceable role in enhancing mutual understanding between people and promoting the value of our relations. At the 14th Sino-European Summit in 2011, the leaders stressed that cultural exchange is one of the three pillars of Sino-European relations. Many projects have paved the way for the 50th anniversary celebrations and strengthen the cultural pillars of the comprehensive Sino-European strategic partnership which is part of the general world globalization.

Globalization refers to the growing multi-directional economic, social, cultural and political ties that are being formed around the world. It implies an ever-increasing contraction of the world and our growing awareness of these processes. The contraction of the world can be understood in terms of expansionism of modern institutions, while the reflexive intensification of world awareness can be seen as culturally beneficial. Globalization is driven in part by economic activities on a planetary scale leading to an interconnected, albeit unequal, world economy.

In the last 30 years, Pashmin Art Consortia has been involved in introducing artists internationally in Europe, China, and the US. Now with the recent quick pace in developing internationalization of art in China, Pashmin Art introduces the range of art from the last decade of the second millennium to two decades of the third millennium. This exhibition will show the need for understanding others in contemporary world in order to have a better world for future generations. More than 400 artworks by artists from Austria, China, England, France, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and USA are exhibited in this grand exhibition.

This major exhibition features works by more than 400 artworks from 50 artists coming from Austria, China, England, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Latvia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the USA. We hope that this half-century will last for another half-century of Sino-European cultural exchange.
